Subscription Management & Billing

This guide covers subscription quotas, plan upgrades, payment methods, and lifecycle management for your organization.

Predictable Flat-Tier Quotas

diid uses flat-tier pricing with included quotas rather than micro-prorated per-seat metering.

Quota Allocations by Plan

  • Free: 5 projects, 5 members, 0 shared producers.
  • Team (€79/mo flat or €790/yr): 20 projects, 10 included members, 2 shared producers, SBOM visualizer.
  • Business (€249/mo flat or €2,490/yr): 60 projects, 25 included members, 10 shared producers, Teams & RBAC, Slack/webhooks, SBOM visualizer.
  • Enterprise (€899/mo flat or €8,988/yr): Unlimited projects, unlimited members, unlimited shared producers, Enterprise SSO, architecture debt metrics.

Read-Only Viewers

Viewers in your organization do not count toward your plan's member quota. Anyone on your engineering, QA, or product team can freely view the interactive dependency graph, browse endpoint documentation, and inspect SBOM supply chains.

Plan Upgrades & Downgrades

Organization Owners can manage subscriptions at any time via Organization Settings -> Billing.

Upgrading Your Plan

  1. In your organization, navigate to Settings -> Billing.
  2. Select your desired plan (Team, Business, or Enterprise).
  3. Choose Monthly or Annual (save up to 17% with annual billing: €790/yr for Team, €2,490/yr for Business, or €8,988/yr for Enterprise).
  4. Click Upgrade Plan (or Switch to Annual / Switch to Monthly). Changes take effect immediately, and any unused balance from your current billing cycle is credited automatically.

Downgrading Your Plan

Before downgrading to a lower plan tier or reverting to Free:

  • Resource Verification: Your current usage (total projects, active members, shared dependencies) must fit within the lower tier's allowances.
  • Data Protection: Your projects, specs, and version history remain intact. If you exceed limits, you will be prompted to archive unused projects or adjust members before the downgrade is finalized.

Billing Schedules & Payment Methods

  • Billing Cycle: Subscriptions renew automatically every 30 days (or annually) anchored to your initial subscription date.
  • Payment Processing: Payments are securely handled via Stripe. We support major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and corporate purchasing cards.
  • Invoices & Receipts: All historical PDF invoices, VAT details, and payment receipts are available for instant download under Settings -> Billing -> Invoices.

Payment Failures & 14-Day Grace Period

If a renewal payment fails (for example, due to an expired corporate card or bank authorization hold):

  1. Uninterrupted Operations: Your organization immediately enters a 14-day grace period. All CI/CD breaking change checks, spec sync pipelines, and team access remain active.
  2. Automated Reminders: Organization Owners and Admins receive notification emails with a direct link to update the payment method.
  3. Grace Period Resolution:
    • Payment Updated: Once payment details are updated, your subscription resumes immediately.
    • Grace Period Expiry: If payment is not completed within 14 days, the account safely transitions:
      • If resource usage fits within the Free plan, the account transitions to Free.
      • If resource usage exceeds Free plan limits, access is paused while all project and version history data is preserved safely. Updating payment details restores full access immediately.

Cancellation & Data Retention

You can cancel your subscription at any time without contacting support:

  1. Click Cancel Subscription in your Billing settings.
  2. Your subscription remains active with full access until the end of your prepaid period.
  3. If you change your mind before the period ends, click Keep Subscription to continue without interruption.
  4. Your specifications, dependency graphs, and SBOM records are never deleted upon cancellation.
